I've noticed that the inside of the lens in my high beam lamps appears slightly cloudy. Having looked at a few other pictures on this site it appears on some others as well. Is this a common problem ? Can it be sorted ? The glass in the "outside" headlight lamps is crystal clear.

Not sure why it seems to affect the high beams more but what I did was remove the lamps, take the back off and pour in some methylated spirits and slosh it around. Tip out any excess and wait the rest to evaporate before fitting them back to the car, nice and shiny, good as new.

I give mine a bath too, just remove the entire light cluster, remove the rear covers on the main beam and dipped beam, obviously the bulb too, and soak them in the kitchen sink with plenty of washing up liquid, come out looking good as new.
