I've joined the club again with a 325 touring, however before I start smoking round in it, I need to paint the bonnet as the laquer has pretty much all peeled off.
The colour is lagoon green.
Does anyone know a good bodyshop in Surrey/ SW london which wont charge the earth, as I've only bought it as a run about for a few months whilst I redecorate my house.
Cheers.
Andrew
p.s. Pics to follow.
Bought a tourer and need a bonnet painting.

Probably a lot cheaper and easier to wait for a bonnet that colour to come along.

I agree, but it appears to be a reasonably rare colour...SPADGE wrote:Probably a lot cheaper and easier to wait for a bonnet that colour to come along.
Anyway, I hate driving cars with odd colour panels...

Great.... looks like I'll have to find a good painter then - looks like it'll have to be blended into the top of the wings as well then.Andyboy wrote:Lagoon green is a bitch to match because it fades under the lacquer. With a bonnet you'll get away with it but it was primarily an E36 colour.

Yeah thats probably it. - The guy i bought it from lived in the next road from me in chessington. lolJonny_71 wrote:Hmmm, is this the touring that was behind me on Hook Road Saturday afternoon? Bonnet certainly looked a bit suspect in my mirror.
Small world.
It looks a bit different already - its now sporting a set of 15" BBS

I wouldn't go that far - get a paintshop to do a colour swab with a paint chip. I had some paint done on mine not long back and it was a very good match.andrewe30m3 wrote:Great.... looks like I'll have to find a good painter then - looks like it'll have to be blended into the top of the wings as well then.Andyboy wrote:Lagoon green is a bitch to match because it fades under the lacquer.
