Hello people.

I originally posted this away from the main area, hoping one of your admin team would pick up on it, but a couple of your members suggested I just post in the main area.

I hope its ok.

I'm Nigel, one of the mods on the BMW car club forum.

It has come to my attention on that forum, that a well known insurance broker has made a mistake regarding E30 M3 cars, and has been insuring them as RHD.

One of our members, a solicitor, has posted that this mistake would become the responsibility of the car owner, not the insurance broker/company. ( I dont understand why, I just accept what he says ).

My apologies if this has already been covered on your forum, but as the subject is very serious I thought I'd pop a post on here, so your admin could pick up on it, and hopefully alert members before something nasty happens.

Best wishes

Nigel

Should say on your insurance certificate?

My insurance just says M3 IMPORT with no reference to LHD or RHD. I will ring them to find out! - I am insured with Elephant,

i am insured with elephant and had some words with them about the fact it was LHD in my initial conversations with them.
But an e30 m3 was only LHD so it seems a little unfair if its the drivers blame.,....the insurers should know this....

The first time I insured mine they put it down as RHD. And that was after I had filled in all the bits asking about modifications.

I was half expecting that when i told them, they would put the premium up
