Afternoon all.

Just signed up, so this is a hello.

My names Nick, and I used to drive a corrado G60, but sold that at the weekend. Hence the username.

The reason im here is because the day after selling the car i was given, yes given this...

No tax or MOT (ran out on 8th feb 07, having done 17 miles bewteen the last one apparently).

Gonna pick it up sometime this week, and strip the interior for some serious cleaning and to check for rust etc. You can probably make out a bit of mould on the seats in the interior pic.

Its just gonna be a bit of cheap motoring for a few months, but I want to tidy it up, and change a few things like wheels, which is why I am here, To ask you for all the info/figures/specs etc. as this is my first BM...

325i's come with the 2.5 litre 12v m20 engine, 171 bhp as standard, 0-60 in 7.4 seconds,

but now nearly 20 years on them figures most likely have decreased so it will probly be between 140-160 bhpbut it depends on how the car has been maintained, etc.

Thanks for the friendly replies.

Ive just been looking through the technical forum bit, trying to find out what the wheel stud pattern and et etc. is? I know its 4 stud, but thats all.

I have a question for the experts:

If you were in my position, and had a budget of around £500 to spend, what would you do to my car? :D

OBC is the on board computer next to the radio, gives you the time, date, temp, fuel range, timer, average MPG.

The wheels are 4 x 100 can't remember the offset to hand, around ET24?? someone will put me right..

7" rims are exactly ET24 offset :D . Buy some genuine BMW BBS 15" cross-spokes - they'll always be worth money.

The 13 button OBCs (with the full loom and if in working order) go for 60 GBP plus on Ebay if you need some money.

Exhaust pipes look a little bit narrow? Probably just a cheap aftermarket replacement.

IMHO I wouldn't spend ANY money on a 4-door; it'll just be money down the drain. :duck:

Just drive it.

Welcome mate.

Any pics of the g60?? I thought about getting a VR6 preferably but G60 more realistically and ended up converting the e30 1.8 to a 2.5 instead.

My engine went pop back in June, and having never even drained oil in a car before, I decided it would be a good idea to change the engine block with another G60 (wanted to go 1.8t, but was broke!) and then spent the next 3 months removing the engine, changing all the anciliaries over, and replacing the engine. Was a good way to learn, but im not doing it again in a hurry!

The g60 looks very tidy mate!

Why did you sell it? Especially after replacing the engine and ancillaries?

I spent a small fortune on it, and got it pretty mint, but I find myself in a rather unfortunate financial situation. Being only 21, i decided i want more in life than just a nice car, and due to the amount of miles i do, and condition of the car, i figured it was best to cut my losses, get something cheap (or free!) and let the car go to a nice home, which it has done.

If i want another, i can get one in a few years time, but this allows me to move out the god damn house, and do a few things that I havent been able to (like go to sweden - leaving on 11th march snowboarding for a week).

So there we go. :)

There hasn't been an M3 at the Dorset meet for a while... There was last summer though, & a bit of a special one at that! I'm sure you'd be welcome to a ride when the sun comes out :)

Re bits; I've got standard 'zorst bits for norra lorra money, likewise a tech-1 steering wheel that's nothing special but a big step up from 4-spoke wrongness. Got a small tech-2 wheel spare as well, but I think I'll be keeping that for a while (& they fetch rather more money anyway!). I've got a couple of sets of 15" cross-spokes in the garage - one AAG & one BBS. Pics if you're interested...

& the Cinq sounds amazing. I wish I had one. Think he'd swap for my cab?

Yeah, could you pm some pics of both sets, although if theyre a PITA to get to, im more interested in the BBS.

The steering wheel, im not to fussed with atm. Just finding my way round the thing first, and seeing as this is supposed to be a 'budget' driver for a few months, prob best not. Would prob be interested in the exhaust tho. What would the chances be of being able to twist your arm to fitting it to...?

Also, pm a price for the wheels and zorst if you could.

Cheers. :wales: <------ Lol look at all the smilies!!

Thats a pretty good reason for selling!!

I've been tempted to sell up and cut my losses at times but I know I'd be sucked right back in by some other car (as you might actually find with your new e30) so may as well just continue throwing money at it. lol

Again, thanks for the warm welcomes. :D

Aye, the G60 was pretty nippy when it was going, but i did have a fair amount of problems with it. However, the last 5k, after replacing the engine, have been completely trouble free.

I hope I can bring the freebie up-to scratch. Ill post a few pics as i progress, and clean her up a bit...

Think of just thought of a name...Fran. Fran - the freebie, and because its a German name...! lol. :weirdo:
