i recently fitted a new set of iridium plugs (denso) to my 1990 e30 325i M20 engine.
it seems to cancel any slight eratic idle which our straight six blocks are famous for and a little smoother acceleration, not sure if its any better power or whatever but feels better anyway.
the pins are 1/5 of the thickness which makes it give a better spark is the basic point of them i think
anyone light any more on this

Hi Chief, The main reason for using Iridium plugs is for the longer life that they give, Toyota fit them as standard equiptment, and recon there good for 60k miles, cheers Dave
