Last year some friends and I bought a very sorry for itself Creg 325i to take down to LeMans for the 24hr go-kart race we take part in. Unfortunately we had so much fun ragging the shit out of it it never quite made it and has been sitting dead on our drive until today. Today I finally resurrected it!

Ok, so it's got mould on the back seat. dented chrome bumpers. the drivers door lock doesn't lock. it's missing no.1 ignition lead. there's a leak in the clutch cylinders. there's no gear nob (painful!) and the drivers seat is buggered. But it's got nice black stripes down the side.

Anyway the point is. What should we do with it. Bearing in mind it's owned by a few poor students. The two current ides are:

Banger racing
Use for a bit of fun a drift practice days

Any other ideas?

For those who are interested in what was (is) wrong with it:

It stopped working in the petrol station. It had a heavy session and wouldn't restart. No spark.

Whilst trying to measure the signal from the crank angle sensor I had the multimeter hooked in and it all of a sudden started to fire. Disconnection the meter made it run like even more of a bag of shit and it wouldn't start again. Best guess so far is a bent tooth on the flywheel and the multimeter is acting as a smoothing capacitor. Gonna get the ignition lead and take things from there. I'm sure you can imagine my utter disbelief at the car only starting when the meter was connected !!!

Strip it out and weld the diff or get a decent LSD and go drift practicing.
