I do a lot of motorway in my old E30 and very occassionaly if Ive been sat on 70 /80 for a long time it stutters and then carries on :?

I know the ideal fix would be drive at 90...... :D

But I have to watch out for uncle bill and his horrible speed traps

Any one else get this stutter?

Check your Fuel pump wires at the rear, they could be dirty or loose. Also check the coil as well for loose wires.

Sounds like a fuel problem, (Possible Fuel pump relay/ swap it and see if it does the same thing.) may be on its way out....

??? Does it happen at other speeds????

Check HT leads and Spark plug gaps.

HTH (just try these ideas for now) someone on here may have another area for you the look at...
