I want to re-cover the front (sports) seats in my touring, including bolsters. Can original seat material still be bought from the dealers? Does it come pre-formed and is it just a case of placing and fastening it? Is this an awkward job to do and best left to the pro's or something a DIYer can do with good results? Cheers!

Here are some of my kits installed by first time customers. They fit if you take your time installing them.

I called my local dealer for seat covers to re cover my seats and they could get them really easy he told me apart from one colour which was now unobtainable.Your best bet is to phone your local dealer.

240 for 1 seat?? I may have to shelve that idea and find some tidy second hand seats.

Try giving Jaymic a call and see what they say? I have a friend who is getting his interior done in the original cloth for his e21 from these guys.

It would probably be more cost effective to have it done there since I am in the states. I charge $950.00 or $1,500.00 front and rear, for kits I make out of BMW OEM leather. Your prices of 240 per seat from the dealer is a good price, if you can still get your color.
There are a number of great trimmers out there, just make sure you check the quality of the leather, cloth vinyl etc before you have them do it.
I have only been doing this for 3 years part time, untill this past year I have been doing it full time and have only used the best products that are out there.
Regards,
Kevin

A cloth seat base for my 535 sport was £100 from the stealer, they do come up on eBay now and again

does anyone know if you can still get hold of original silver bubble leather? I haven't tried the dealers as I imagined it would be hugely expensive even if it was available. My drivers seat need recovering and I see no other way really, as replacements are few and far between!

thanks
