I managed to swing the calliper up to change pads, but could not remove the bolt holding the carrier on, Welded up good and proper, it ended with my breaking the adapter for my torque wrench, giving up and putting it back together.
I then jacked it up to take it off the axle stand and just as I was pulling out the stand, BBBBAAANNNNGGGGGG!!!!!! The trolley jack gave way
Fortunately I had my hand on the side of the Axle stand not the top, so my hand was saved, Boxers were a bit squidgy though!
Anyway it went into the garage, I had the front discs and pads, a cambelt, tensioner and water pump, the garage fitted the lot, and changed the rear discs and pads, front shocks as you could turn them upside down and they just slid in! Total bill Ԛ£780
Oh and the springs the last person used to lower the car were cut with an angle grinder
I thought that was not too bad considering.
All I need to do now is fit the front spoiler.
