why is my 320i so slow!

recently downgraded (thru no choice of my own) from an e36 m3 evo convertible to an f plate 320i, i know it aint really gonna compare in power but the e30 jus feels so slow, anythin i can do to tweek it?

Put a m3 engine in it lol, 320 are just dam slow. Change the diff for some more pep but dont bother with anything else imo, Maby a chip

put a 325 engine in maybe a 2.7 or m52 2.8

325 throttle body and chip. Makes it a fair bit nippier. :cool:

didnt a great man once say "why bother fitting a 325 inlet manifold to a 320,why not leave it attached to the rest of the engine and fit that instead"or something similar winkeye

get it 2.5 coverted and put a 6 branch...... should go fast but still not as fast as the m3!

say you wanted to keep the car as original as poss so only bolt on parts would do, what could you do then to soup it up? apart from an 525e bottom end

had a 2.5 engine but bottom end cracked, sold the 3.2 engine n gearbox to try n makeback some of thecash i lost on the m3. insurance refused topay out coz i was doing110 in a 30 when my wheel came off, slid out, hit a tree n rolled.....................wiv the roof down :(

any1 got a better engine than a 2L????????

lol, only crashed coz my rear nearside alloy disintergrated. apart from that i dont think a 110mph drift is too shabby.

2.7e bottom end be the best way of upping power. But you cant expect a 320i to be responsively quick if your used to M3's! Good luck whatever u decide.

ive recently bought an 87 Ereg 318i and a new head gasket, valve stem seals and a cam belt kit and its so much more responsive!
