I'm hoping that someone can give me a bit of background info & possibly some help here.
Pic 1 is of a standard X spoke. No question there.

Pic 2 is of an alloy fitted to Pogweasels old 316.
I know it's a Borbet (it says so on the rim). It's a 7x15H2 & it carries the codes KBA41449 & B70525.
Q 1 - Is the centre cap the standard item? Theres something about it that makes me think it's from a different Borbet design.
Q 2 - If it is the wrong one, does anyone know where to get the correct one?
Q 3 - The centre cap is secured with what looks to be like a tamper-proof Torx (see bottom pic - excuse the quality). If it isn't a Torx, does anyone know where I can get the proper key/tool?
Q 4 - Where these wheels a BMW optional fit for the E30 or an aftermarket job?

yep shes a Borbet B alloy Iain M8, the keys are still available from supergolfs.com, there should be a number stamped into it somewhere

provided its not mega seized they are removable with some decent snap ring pliers.

quality wheels have a set of 7.5J 16 for my SE :P

defo an aftermarket addition, possibly an upgrade in the early ninetees, these are proper old skool now, hence me getting some.

Saw these on one today:

Another kind of BBS knock off. Odd curved profile. Fatter spokes. Not as nice as the flat & dished BBS. Locking caps though.

14 inch mabye, but I don't think BBS. Flat faced spokes. Not as raggy as a set TSW knock offs I saw before though.

The pic doesn't show it well, but the face of the wheel is conical, the cap is one piece and is screwed into the wheel. The cap sticks out past the wheel & tyre.

They were on an odd car too: 4 door '89 with vinyl seats and a pre '87 below-bumper setup.
