my e30 has normall static windows (yer u rub them and they stick to passing cars n babies)
now i have pop out windows in my house, and would like them in.
will my e30 have all the places to just bolt them in?
how would i get my normal windows out?
am i wasting my time?
should i just make another cup of tea and play playstation like i normally do?

It's all done from the inside bud, i had the same problem, except I was stupid enough to try from the outside and in the process fucked up my de-chromed trim :o:

Take the inside panel off and you will see some nuts/bolts (can't remember the size) take these off, the bolts on the inside hold the metal plate on the outside, so this should come off too, once this is done you should be able to just pop out the old window.

ok i read the article :)
i just need a few things to get me going,
the windows i have at home, one side has the catch still on, the other has been removed, i have the catch but no square bolt to fit it to the window
i dont have the bolt or thingy that goes behind the head lining in the back
i have the window, and black frame with bolts showing ready to go in :)
where can i get the special bolts from?
:D

Try a local diy shop, failing that the stealers.

2nd embarssing bit, I forgot to get these bits for the windows when I picked them up (it was dark :o: )

So had to travel back to Leicester from Bedford to pick them up...
