GUTTED !!!!!!

Ive had my on an E30 for some time now, about 3-4 mounths, i pass it every morning on the way to work, Its all tired looking stuck in the corner of someones garden, a loverly Zinnorbar Pink !! It does not look like anything special, 318 or 320 maybe...

I was thinking of getting it cheap, Ԛ£2-300, has it has the M-Tech Kit, 15" BBS, M-Tech Steering wheel & leahter Recaro's.

I come home from work to day, and my neighbour comes running over, "Will you come look at a car with me, i dont know that much about E30's" ok....so of we go.......

Low and behold, we arrive at the tired looking red thing in the corner of the garden........

What do i find ??????

A 318IS with a M20B25 conversion !!!!!
Body work turns out to be mint, no rust anyware !! not even on or under the arches..fitted with full IS pack, LSD, new billie shocks, springs, rear top mounts...the engine is mint....recent service before fitted to 318 chassis, head reconned, new water pump....

I am just soooooo gutted, my neighbour has bought the car, Ԛ£500 with MoT till May 07....

Im gutted 'cause ive had my eye on it for so long, and just never gone up and asked about it....

But my neighbour has a 2dr 318 and loves my 325i, and he has allways wanted one. if i was to sell mine, he would buy it..so there will now be 2 325's in our street !!!!

Theres an old guy(70`s)not far from me with a spanking Red(not pink) 318is in his car port!
Been sat there about 3 years.Ive enquired about it about 3 times now and the miserable old git always says `NO NOT FOR SALE`with a serious attitude problem!
Had a mooch about it 1st time i went-Mint Black heated leather/Mtec2 wheel/15" BBS etc-he drives a Ford Ka,doubt hell ever even go near the BM again,dread going past one day and not seeing it there,i can just imagine him paying the scrapyard to move it

Dude, sorry to hear your loss, but i was always told, if you like something ..enquire and ask if they want it or wanna sell it, the answer would either be YESS or NO!! if you dont ask.. you dont know your answer.. i suppose a lesson to learn...."dont be shy...ask a question and try"!!!

Saying that theres a guy with a H reg Red 318is for sale as its one owner from new with all service history, documents e.t.c. and wants to get rid of it and he`s like 50 years old and wants something comfortable to drive. as he was asking my cousin if he wanted to buy it for Ԛ£200 a few days ago and its always garaged... i might snap that up for a daily run around and store my E21 2.7 away..... a thought to take in to a serious consideration.

Yeah apparently the guy has alot of squid hes not bothered as its him and his wife and being old also, his kids grown up and moved to america or something and they want something of a smaller but comfortable car so im thinking as a run around car it would be good to play with, but knowing my stupidity, i would be stripping that engine fitting a set of cams, vernier pullyey, L & B flywheel, and the list goes on regards to performance...... gasflow and porting , 4 branch. stainless steel all thru.... chips here and chips there (no fish) and im happier then its when ill enjoy that car being it a virgin as far as i know so ill have to break her in gently then hardcore all the way
