Yeah, about 500cc...

When you drive them you'll be able to tell. The 320 is smooth, but not fast, where as the 325 is quick off the mark and noticeably quicker. They sound different too.

I think there is a stamp on the block or something as well. Not quite sure about this though...

One other thing... the badge on the back might give it a way. (joke) Also, it'll say 320 or 325 on the V5 document.

Don't know if it's a reliable way of telling or no, but on my 325s the number stamped on the air flow meter ends in 082, but on my 320 it's 083.

there's a black label above the drivers side headlight, on the panel there that says the model. (along with a load of other junk!)

also, a 325 will have a twin-pipe exhaust system whereas the 320 only has a single

As Brianmoooore says, the airflow meter number should end with 083 if its a 325.

If you get the part number from the ECU and post it here, I can get the ones from my 320/325 and tell you.

But as mentioned above, look for a stamp in the block saying 2.5 or 2.0, this is the most reliable way.

The inlet manifold is usually a dead give away too, the 2.5 inlet is nice and rounded all the way around, but the 2.0 doesn't curve like the 2.5, anyone got some pics of both, you will see the difference then!

i stand corrected!!!

there's also a 30mm diameter lump that protrudes from the head, above the exhaust manifold. on my 325i is says 2.5 / 2.7 on it... that said, i don't knowwhat the 320 would say, i'd assume 2.0 but i've been proven wrong before!!!

anyway, my 320i had just a single system, so nerrrr!

my 325 has 2.5/2.7 on the head just below the front and second cylinder (below sparkplugs) but me 320 has nought there. and it has two exhausts on both 320 and 325 but 325 is about half inch bigger tailpipes.
