Hello there,
Just bought a really nice 1991 320i E30 and I would like to get it running as smooth as possible. So.... looking to get it tuned but with the age and cost I'm looking for an independant garage that are good with BMW's (ideally E30 specialists).
If anyone knows of a decent garage in the Wiltshire area (ideally Swindon), I would muchly appreciate it!!
Cheers,
A Jonesy!!!!

Hello and Welcome
I go way overboard and always give every car I buy a damn good service, and change the Cold start switch and the temp sensor, dizzy + rotor etc but everyone will tell you its unnecessary
DO you have any problems in Particular?

Hello and thankyou....
No major problems to speak of but I'm not much of a mechanic!! It does rev up and down a little at idle and hoping that some diagnostic tuning would help make it run as smooth and as fuel efficiant as possible? What do you think?
Also there is some 'minor' bubbling on the back wheel arches. Now my cousin eneded up scraping his E30 318i because of this and I would like to nip mine at the bud. Any thoughs on this?
Cheers,
Al

In old town there is a place ran by a guy called Clarence Johnson, opposite the old arriva place on marlborough road. He used to be a fellow zoner I think he was called D-bass, he knows his stuff about beemers but tends to be quite busy. I can PM you the number if you want.

You can try Frits Bits and get heavily ripped of to pay of there VAT and court fees?? but they can make the car sound good.... or you can find a cheaper garage (BMW Franchised) which is cheaper
