Anyone had a play on the way?

That road was fantastic, must have hit 80 a couple of times. Good sighting, you could see if there was anything coming for miles and no side roads, they were empty by the time I arrived and got my foot down good and proper.

God I love roads like that its why I sorted my suspension. Respect to the guys and gals on the strip but that was the most fun I have had in my car for a while

With my old tyres on, a mate had a GPS in my car and at 80 he was reading 71 but with fresh tyres on its probably nearer 75 as most speedo under read.

Good fun though

i think he's indicating that 80 is not a high speed to achive, but know ing you dude, karter and all that, I bet 80 was the AVERAGE speed winkeye

Now you have edited your title so we are no longer talking about the A509 itself then my piss taking of you getting a boner at touching 80 doesn't really make sense i'll agree. Now i know you mean the smaller twisty road i can see where your coming from lol :)

If we're talking about the same road, I do recall annoying an E36 M3 by not allowing him to lose me in my diesel Range Rover....

Blimey, could he *not* drive.

Its the bit where you turn off the A509 on the way to Santa Pod and it gets a bit country, lots of fields couple of trees and a nice twistie bit of road :D

Read the title and the thread  . Im refering to the little twisting road you take when you turn OFF the A506 until you reach the Santa Pod gates

Don't get me wrong, it handles like a worn bath sponge. But the trusty M51 had me breathing down his neck all the same :)
