Which cam?

I know this has probably been asked a zillion times before but which cam is the best all rounder for a high comp 325i?

Also what sort of bhp (roughly) increase am i looking gaining?

Would i be able to transfer this to a 2.7 at a later date along with the head?

I think i know some of the answers but id like to hear your views and from any of you that have gone for an upgraded cam.

288/272 best compromise there is , can go milder but not advisable without ITB's dude

yes, the 2.7 will swallow the same cam quite happily

284/272 mate with some uprated valve springs, u know the other answers!

2.7 is a long way down the road and i am just flirting with the idea.
No diy build unless some friendy zoners offer to help

At the moment i am thinking of seeing how much more i can get from my 2.5 then 2.7 is an option later on.

Car isnt a daily runner, only used at weekends, would the 288 be a bit too much?

they are well lumpy on idle, will make yours even more top end!
