Been looking on ebay and ebay.de for some low cheap shocks and springs but I keep seeing different descriptions saying that certain kits fit certain cars.
Some include some 4 pots with some 6 pots but not tourers or cabs. Then some others that include cabs but not tourers?
Can anyone enlighten me please? I thought it was a clear cut 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder thing?
I have a tourer btw

6cyl saloons, 318is and most tourings (4 or 6cyl) all have 51mm front struts. The front springs differ between the 4 and 6cyl. The rear springs of the tourings and cabs are both different from the saloons.
316i/318i saloons will have the smaller front struts.
If your touring is a 325i, you should have Mtech stuff as standard IIRC, but with touring specific rear springs.

No that's the point it looks like one sale contradicts the other if you get me.
So what your saying is my front springs are the same as normal 325's my rears are different (the same as a cab?)?

Do you have a 325i touring?
I think the 325i touring had Mtech stuff, so the front springs will be the same as the 325i Sport. The rear springs are touring specific, so not the same as Cab springs, but some people on here have used Cab springs on tourings.

Should even have alloy front control arms.
Standard 325 Touring suspension is far superior to any other E30, except the M3.

Hmmm. I've been reading a lot since i got my 325i tourer. I find the suspension a little stiff. Anyway, can you be more specific? Thanks!

Im not sure on the exact differences, maybe Brian can shed some light??
Of the couple 325i tourings Ive been in, I didnt think the suspension was too stiff, but at the time I would of been comparing them to my Sport.
