Took all my wheels off yesterday to give them a good clean also cleaned under and around the arches ect....Only to find one of my springs has snapped, front passenger side.
The car still looks level and it drives ok, the only thing wrong now is its wearing the outside of the tyre away slowly.
I'm putting a "wanted ad" in the parts section for this can anyone help ?????????

See.... I TOLD YOU ONE HAD SNAPPED!

Only kidding... that's a bit of a bugger really. Sorry I can't help you though. Strange that a front one has snapped though, usually the rears that go.

Giles.

Where's your commitment Giles

Mind you I don't think I will be making many Northern meets either :surrender:

Wherever I go I have to drive round the bloody M25 :x

Naylor - are they standard springs mate, if so would it not be a good excuse to slam/upgrade it ?

I would love to have it uprated and lowered but at the moment all my spare cash is going towards having my arches repaired, hence a second hand pair for the time being.
Nice thought thou Splondike, cheers.
They are just the suspension that came with the sport as standard, nearly
16 yrs old from new.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, ppl say the camera never lies but mine does, lol , one rear arch is fooked and the other is just starting to go, getting repaired asap, one minor scrape on the rear bumper and a couple of minor scratches thats all really.

The seats are re-trimmed from original sport seats Kedge, there was nothing wrong with the old ones either, just some selfish tw@t said my car was a nail, so thought I'd treat myself. New leathers, wheels, a bit of a re-spray (bonnet, rear valance, off side wing.)

E30_320, i got my seats done at a place in Wolverhampton, a guy called "MOSS INTERIORS" , fantastic job too, Ԛ£1050 for complete re-trim, he even fitted rear head rests for me as i didnt have any. He even did the backs of the front seats too, he saud he couldnt do the handbrake gaitor
as he neede a template.
The old cloth he took apart by hand and used it as a template for the leather. I would seriously reccomend this guy if you live in the Midlands.

Im looking for a set of front springs, sport springs fro my 325 sport please.

the interior looks as good as it sounds!

what do you mean by fooked mate? rust attacked the arch?

Interior looks fabulous!!!

A question to all those who have lowered their cars.

I did my E30 cab last year by 35mm. I just used springs on the existing M-Tech shocks as it was all I could afford. 12 months later and I've had to replace all 4 tyres as they have worn excessively on the inside.

I understand this is down to the cambre created by lowering the car. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again? Or is fitting a complete springs and shocks kit the answer? I sure I read somewhere about some suspension bushes that can be purchased for such a problem, can anyone add substance to this?

Cheers
