hi there guys,
3 weeks ago i bought a november 1989 325i 4dr silver color bmw.
one previous owner, a medical doctor.. so the car was well look after.

anyways,. i thought i'd just rattle on as to what mods are completed:

1) front strut bar - cosmo racing
2) boot removal of torsion bars, and replaced with gas shocks

3) fitted map-light mirror today, besides the lights etc, its a "beefier" look
mirror, so its an aesthetic upgrade too

4) fitted nakamichi cd-400 radio

5) doing a big sound quality install soon, but in the meantime, i got a 2nd set of kick panels(factor panels) and hacked them to fit 5.25" woofers and tweeters.. the sound-staging of the vehicle is actually quite good.

in the process:

6) cosmo racing rear strut bar, i actually had to grind the mounting plates down a little with an angle grinder, the mounting plates are in, but the bar wont fit as the "secondary fuel tank" is in the way, i either have to have custom plates fabricated or have mine modified.

7) get hold of planking plastic "panel" so i can remove the "speaker fader knob which is there from the factory radio setup" and replace it with blank.

8) mtech-2 steering wheel on its way to me

9) aluminium pedals *could be seen as council*

things ive fixed:

1) rear left electric window motor, fixed, not replaced
2) window washers, put some new pipe in and replaced valve splitter thingy, when they go bust water squirts out the little breather holes instead of thru the pipes and jets
3) net front struts & shocks
4) new disc brakes and pads front and back
5) fitment and re-connecting of brake pad lining sensors

cheers

hi guys, i will post pics soon soon..

but must first fix body work, the body work is PERFECT, really, just for one thing....
the guy i bought it from's colleagues had a slight mishap the day before i first viewed the car.

leftside fender dents, door dents left side, and the wheel arch fender is dented in left rear.
once this is all repaired will post pics.

cheers

what kind o pedals you got? how did you fit them? my pedals\steering wheel and gear knob are all, shall we say a bit on the tired side. got some nice ally pedals but no idea how to get the old ones off or the new ones on!

i know, i'm learning!
