Heres a pic of mine

I like em, although I do need some 'white' headlamp bulbs to match
also considering some eyebrows like tylerma has to put a nice edge across the top

My opinion...they are just as bad as lexus lights, lexus lights should stay on a lexus, and angel eyes should stay on a E39.
I think they look chav on anything older, especially the E30!

Sal (E30Zone Shop) was saying the other day that he has found a new supplier for Angel Eyes and they are supposed to be top notch. Not seen them yet, if he reads this he might have some more info.
Personally I like them

Maybe people are not trying to steal them, but to take them out and throw them over the nearest hedge!

its a love hate thing, end of the day its down to personal preference each to their own etc. Think judging by the replies we are kinda split. I personally like them, and dont think they can really be compared to lexus lights that ppl put on their E30's. Angel lights are no way in my view as chav as those tacky lexus lights for the E30. Anyway Eldar if you like them stick em on, you've seen separate pics of angel eyes, now its down to you.

Agreed, just didnt want to say it incase malc attacks me at lakeside! its a personal choice but i just think its a little bit of a stereotype that a bmw has angel eyes these days.Simon wrote:My opinion...they are just as bad as lexus lights, lexus lights should stay on a lexus, and angel eyes should stay on a E39.

+1. Was tempted to do em when I smoked my lights, just cos I could, & I knew it'd impress people. Thankfully I didn't - it's my blimmin car & I think they look cr@p, even more so with chrome bumpers!d6dph wrote:Agreed, just didnt want to say it incase malc attacks me at lakeside! its a personal choice but i just think its a little bit of a stereotype that a bmw has angel eyes these days.Simon wrote:My opinion...they are just as bad as lexus lights, lexus lights should stay on a lexus, and angel eyes should stay on a E39.

Oh the choices the choices. I do like the look of them but I love the E30 because it is of its time and so different to all the bubble cars on the road nowadays. Smoked Hellas might be a way to go on my sterling silver e30...

well each to their own oppinion and all that
but the ones I had were an exact replica of the e39 ones
using fibre optics and an independant light box so you could replace the bulbs
so the closest you could get to BMW original
and I will say they looked really good
its all down to the individuals taste at the end of the day
ShepsEvo3
was that aimed at me saying about somebody trying to steal mine
if it was I dont think its very funny having done the things
that I wanted to do to MY car and some little shit comes along and tries to take what he likes its not funny
and I dont appreciate somebody poking fun at the situation because I am still very pissed off over it

Like Gouki says It's a love them or hate them thing. I had the Crystal Depo's one the Rieger with Xenon converstion and i loved them. I've now changed them for smoked ones with Xenon conversion as all my lighting on the Rieger is tinted and i think they look fat, but on the Msport, i've gone for the smoked Hella's with Xenons and they are a completly different kettle of fish cause of the style of the car. I think the Hella's look better on standard'sh E30's, but if you have a modded E30 then the angels are the way for me

as you say each to their own otherwise i could argue that 16inch wheels are for a Renualt Espace only and all E30's should run 14inch bottletops or 15inch cross spoke only, and an iS lip should only be on a iS, a tech2 only on a sport etc etc etcMy opinion...they are just as bad as lexus lights, lexus lights should stay on a lexus, and angel eyes should stay on a E39.
i personally like em, but been informed that blue angel eyes are chav, but we dont have chavs here and mine is the only car on the island with blue angel eyes, and it seems to draw a lot of attention from the local lads who constantly ask me where they can get them from
As always modding your car all about personal preference, i read on the RV3 site that most of the yanks dont seem to like smoked lights, and DIY smoked lights are a total no no, do all the zoners agree with that?

nor me just proving my point that opinions differ, otherwise we would all support Bolton Wanderers the only real footy team in the prem
but suppose thats the beauty of the zone, you can sit in your office/bedroom and competely oppose someones personal opinion without any real recourse
fancy a bit of yanks not understanding the concept of how smoked lights work

I wouldn't go that far as the mods you've listed are staying with the period of the E30, angel eyes and lexus lights are a newer design, and shoud be kept to those cars, not sure what it's like in Bahrain, but every nova/saxo/corsa driver over here has lexus lights on the back, and guess what....angel eyes on the front! Hence my comparison to lexus lights...chav!!mrLEE30 wrote:
