I only recently brought my 325i Tourer and i was getting a some bad noise coming from the arse end of the car once i'd been driving it for 30mins or so, juddering at low speed too.

Suspected the diff at first ( LSD, fitted for me by the previous owner :thumb: ) but it felt more like the brakes. Handbrake only moved three clicks or so before it locked so tried backing the cables off, this highlighted that only one side was working :?

Anyways, ordered some parts, stuck the BM on some stands and started to strip the rear brakes out........

:clin:

Totally fcuked, ( picture does not pick up how bad they are! ) top circled bit shows how thick with corrosion they are and the shoe was cracked and lifted - scary as it got through an MOT like this
Pass side was not too clever either

Checked the diff oil and its fine, not leaked out or owt - hopefully this ^ is the cause of my problem!

i hope thats all that is the problem mate, sounds like it is only that, and that shouldn't have caused any problems anywhere else so you should be ok.
