Right I am looking for another e30 as I have sold my e36 and s13 to fund my first house and I figured another e30 325 would keep me happy day to day and sideways too
My dad's friend has a 325 tourer which I like the sound of and the price seems good so I may well be getting that this week.
I want to know does anyone make I S lip spoilers (replica's) that you lot know of? Ebay or elswhere. If not what about m-tech 1 or 2 front bumpers or do I have to trawl looking for 2nd hand?
Secondly anyone know of a good source for lsd's? I will definately be needing one for her asap

you can pick up genuine i.s front lip spoilers on here for a good price, just put a post in the parts wanted section.
you can also get slippys on here depending on what ratio you want they will cost you £200 - £250.
m-technic 2 front splitters are like rocking hourse shit so expect to pay over £200 for one of those.
hope this helps. tim.

If you want to check whether it is a lsd turn one of the output shafts and if they turn the opposite way it's an open diff. If they turn the same way, lsd.
If on the car still jack up on the back and turn the wheels

is that right? I know if the diffs still on the car and you spin the wheel, if both go the same way then its an lsd, if they go opposite ways then its an open diff.
Correct me if im wrong someone? But its what ive been told by reliable sources on here
Correct.
An LSD will spin both wheels the same way.

No not bad just limited slip makes for better grip off the line and is virtually necescary if you want drift it.
Don't worry you can still get it sideways you will just need to be a little braver and you won't be able to hold it out for long.
Open diff is what most cars have and is fine

Higher number = lower gearing and better acceleration
Lower number = higher gearing and higher top speed
3.15 / 3.25 on M3's I think
3.64 on early 325 sports
3.91 on later 325 sports
You can also get 3.73 and 4.1-ish...
I thought the easiest way to indentify a LSD diff is because they have a 'Z' stamp on them...
'89 325i - was an SE but not anymore, was bronze-beige metallic (yeuch!) but now techno-violet (thankfully)
'89 Toyota Corolla GTi-16 - track, hillclimb & sprint car (yeeha!)
'08 Buell XB12Ss - American engineering at it's 'best'... good fun though

When it's off yeah if you can see it. Spinning the wheels is easiest when it's on the car though lol.
Thanks re the numbers I know what to look out for
