Right then, sorted myself a proper set of 16" schnitzer rims (cheers for the contact Stu!).
Wanna get them re-furbed before i put them on, and i'll need a couple of tyres.
Firstly, i can't decide whether to go with black centres and polished lip, or all black?? Any suggestions/opinions???
I'm tempted to go all black, but if anyone fancy's playing with photoshop i'd love to see the two options on the car first!! (there's pics of my car in the gallery section!) I might even have a crack myself next week if i get a chance!!
Also, what's the best tyre size to use?? They're currently on 205/50/16's. Not sure if they're 7j or what but i'm hoping someone will know about the schnitzer wheels!!
Want the same rolling diameter as my 205/55/15's, but also want the widest rubber possible for these wheels!!
Also, any recommendations for tyre make/model?? Want the best grip possible!!
Cheers!

mmmmmm 16inch Schnitzers
black centre with polished rim looks v good IMO, but kind of getting the feeling this is being done to death not too sure though, guess its down to personal preference. FYI these have been cleaned, degreased, prepped and painted in diamont Schwartz metallic (code 181)with the rim not mirror poilished but a matt aluminium finish. i have had them on the car for two years with no problems. Do not be tempted to clear laqcure the poilished part as it may carck and then water gets under neath and they will go yellow. i simply clean mine when requireed then get the brasso out and sometimes the dremmel with a poilishing wheel and paste.
as for tyres i have 205/50/16 (and the rims on mine are 16x7) my rear arches have been rolled and no rubbing issues, i did have 225 on at first but they rubbed front and rear. I have Falkens on there are they are good enough for me, but my climate and road conditions are slightly different to yours!!

just BBS splitties 16 inch. yes 4j x 100 so correct for E30. and to buy them you would have to go to a BBS supplier i would imagine. if you really want i can put a bit of time and look for some for you, few of the lads have them here. I will fit the tyres next month (too hot at the moment and car is in garage with its annual flat battery)
PM me if you want me too look, of course you will have to pay for them upfront and i can send em too ya by freight. these have been polished on the rim and painted aluminium colour on the inside about 120 quid extra on top of the rims and shipping), he could not do the nuts cause if you open the rim, they never go back together right. heres a closer one. the centre caps are not on there in these pics but got the 3D BBS ones, very tasty!!

i will try to find a rough price. a refurb will cost about 120quid, but you can see the quiality of his work (note both my schnitzers and BBS done by the same fella )the eagle eyed would have noticed the floor is the same on the pics!!) I paid 250quid for the BBS (the Schnitzers were on my car when i bought it) but i was real real lucky, i bought them for my sport but i have sold that now, i i will put tyres on the BBS and decide which ones suit my cabby more (i may even put BBs on the drivers side and Scnhitzers on the passenger side
best of both worlds!
A1 i will look around and PM you if i find any.

thanks Lee, i've decided i don't wanna go to 17's i think 16's offer the best compromise for performance and looks
