Anyone out there have an E30 in either of these colours? Care to post some photos? I'm considering changing the colour of my Royalblau Touring to eliminate the nasty purple-ish glow that it has in bright sunlight. I want to make the car look more like it does in my signature; just a nice dark blue--with NO purple.
Would either Atlantisblau or Lazurblau be good candidates?

hi mate i have cousins in ontario. to be honest royal blue is a very sought after colur here in the uk and the colours you like are not as nice. i love the royal you dont see many e30`s in this colour...id stick with rather than spending $$$$ which will probably make it look not as nice.
Cheers

Hi mate,
I have the Laser Blue, and will try to post some pics of it when I wash the winter grime off!
It does have a slight colour change effect, in that it does have a purple hue under bright light. If you're trying to get away from the purple then this may not be the colour for you.
Will get some pics for you.

Argh. This is my dilemma. Under cloudy skies the car looks beautiful/rich/gorgeous, but when the sun comes out, it turns full-on violet. Not my cup of tea. I appreciate that it's a rare colour (I've never seen another E30 in this colour), but is that enough of a reason to keep it?Hap wrote:to be honest royal blue is a very sought after colur here in the uk and the colours you like are not as nice. i love the royal you dont see many e30`s in this colour.
Essentially, I want to keep the colour as-is, but repaint it to remove the purple "flip" (as I've heard it called). Is there an easy way to do this without specifying a totally new colour?

Yeah, 14" BBSes on a tiny 4-pot engine and standard, old suspension

325i Motorsport Edition convertible - gone, but not forgotten.
