I ordered an M42 head gasket set from ECP, and was told it would be one manufactured by Victor Reinz, who I've heard makes good quality gaskets. What I've been supplied with is made by Goetze. I'm in two minds as to whether to take it back - I've not heard anything about Goetze and am not sure it's worth the risk.

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with Goetze gaskets?

They're a division of Federal Mogul, who supply parts to eeeeeeeveryone!

I've got Goetze rings, bearings, gaskets and seals in my engine if it's any help? :)

Thanks guys. Good to see you're using these parts on higher powered engines - a good sign! Reading around it seems they are indeed oem manufacturers, so they could even be the same things you get through the bmw dealership.
