So, I've got the standard 4 spoke wheel in at the moment. You know, the one that wouldn't look out of place on a lorry. Bloody great huge thing. ;)
Now, I've been seeing plenty of mtech wheels on the bay for peanuts. Is it worth me doing a swap over? Are the Mtech wheels that much better?
Worth upgrading steering wheel?

Yeah, definately worth it - those plastic things are bloody awful. You can get a nice mtech 1 wheel for £20, or a tech2 for about £75. Ive got a tech 1 going if you are interested?

I couldn't believe the difference when i went from a larger M tech wheel to the smaller one. It may only be 15mm smaller but it feels so much more precise. It wasn't so long ago you couldn't get a good small tech 2 wheel for under 100 quid but like you say, they've dropped considerably recently. Do it!

Yup, changing the steering wheel on your car is one of the best things you can do. It is the thing you look at and feel all the time.

Update: Finally got round to putting the new wheel on today (thanks Theo325!).
Wow! What a difference! Feels absolutely superb!
If anyone out there still has a 4spoke plastic wrongness wheel, swap it now!

I have a collection, 3 spoke "sport" leather is OK, tech 1 is my preferance although I have a mint Hartge one for the odd special occasion, doesn't seem right though, none of mine are Hartge accessorised, Hmmm, For sale ad coming
Tech 2 is nice, but make my hands cramp, weird or what

Glad you got the wheel on at last! The mtech 1 wheel looks good, and the horn buttons are nicely situated!!
Ant - Very interested in this Hartge wheel of yours. Any chance of a pic/price please?!?

Theo, its the early 4 spoke Momo type, same as the 'pina but without the crash pad in the centre, proper mint condition, pukka Hartge boss and centre badge too.
£75? yours if you want it, have a wooden gearknob for it somewhere too, will search it out.
