Does anyone know the factory dimensions for the height of the car from road to chassis rail? I don't know if the suspension has lost some of its bounce and have nothing to compare my car to!

All suspension gets worn over time but it's one of those components that most people do not change unless they are faulty. Generally suspension lasts around 50,000 miles of what I would say is "acceptable use" before it starts deteriorating too much. You never notice it though as it happens slowly over time, it's only when you try something else that you realise. I had my standard suspension changed under warranty after 30k miles on my civic (known knocking problem,) and the difference was truely shocking.
