is there any way to tell if my 15" bbs are a full original set belonging to eachother?(or does it not really matter?)
They came off a 325i
I bet a lot of people are getting fooled on ebay buying cheap replicas, but then again doest it matter?
sorry these are the musings of a sleep deprived zoner!
How to spot genuine original 15" bbs?

ive noticed that there are 3 varients of the bbs alloy - 1 set belongs to vw - and the spokes bend in a little where they meet the rim (they also have vw stamped on them!)
There are also 2 versions of the bbs where i think the rim is slightly different!
I only noticed that when i had 2 cars with slightly different bbs alloys on them.
I dont think anyine would make a replica though! (Apart from OZ 0 ive seen a set in 14" similar to the vw set!)

There are actually 3 oem manufacturers of 'BBS' cross spokes,
BBS themselves,
ALU (they also cast the inlet manifolds and steering wheels for BMW)
FPS
I've seen a mix of all 3 on a 1 owner 325i sport owned by the parts department manager of Benhams BMW in stockport so they are all factory items not copies !.
They all look identical on the outside but have very slight differences on the backs of the spokes.
I have 3 BBS and 2 ALU in my set of 15"
Cheers,
