i have already asked this question but where is the number on the block? i was told by someone on the forum that it was on the 3rd cylinder on the inlet side. i had a quick look the other day but couldnt find it. do i need to take any parts off to view it or just get my eyes tested?

16V IS engine!!!

The engine number is usually on the inlet side right down above the block/sump joint stamped into a raised area of the block.
