i was blastin about in my 325 cab the other day, when it occured to me that it might not be the safest car to drive fast in... I know this is a stupid thing to say, but i wonder how i'd fair up in the event my baby rolled over??? did BMW ever test things like that?
Anyway, hope it gets a few people thinking!

.
all the best, Guy.

i would have thought the windscreen would just fold on top of you in the event of a roll. However they probably thought of that and reinforced the pillars?

Yes I think about this all the time when driving mine but you can get killed or hurt doing anything. If a cab was rolled I woudnt want to be in the back.

Ive rolled a tin top and walked out of it without a scratch on me, the lateral force of rolling pushes you sideways, which is lucky otherwise your head and neck would have a big disagreement with the ground. However, wouldn't fancy repeating the feat in a cab - the Drivers A pillar on my tin top bent downwards by about 10 inches on the car I rolled - I imagine it would be worse on your cab. Drive safely!

this sucker was rolled three times and hit the roof pretty hard at least once.....i suspect it hit the back half of the roof though judging by the damage and what the driver said.
i wouldnt put any trust in a cabby a-post....strenthened or not the weight of the car plus the force of the impact would crush it i reckon
