For the whole of the last year, my car insurance has regarded my genuine alps as "non-standard" and therefore I had to pay an extra £35 to insure them.
Now it's time for my renewal and I was just clarifying my details with them, inparticularly the alps and the extra premium. They said if the wheels were an optional extra at the time of sale then there would not be any extra premium to pay and I could even have a refund for the last year's overpayment.
So, my question is, does anybody know (or care to guess) what the official word is from a BMW perspective. Were the 16" Alpinas an optional extra or was that just the BBS baskets?
Thanks.
John.
