Has anyone lowered there steering column? Or is there and adjustable bracket kit available to do this?

Because my bucket seat sits pretty low, and i have a steering wheel boss and snap off kit on the wheel, the steering wheel feels quite high up and i'd like to move it down. Has anyone done this? Or is it possible?

Guessing i just need to replace item 10 with an adjustable braket or taller one to bring the column down a bit?

Any advise would be appreciated thanks

the column is held on with shear bolts, that means they normally cannot be removed, so they would have to be cut or ground out, difficult due to restricted access but could be possible.

as for lowering the wheel it seems to me you would also have to modify itme 2 and 23 as the angle of the steering column would change and it may catch on this flange.

but i used to have an adjustable bracket on my mini similar to the one you refer to, should not be ahrd to fabricate one if you get around the angle problems above.

sounds silly, but it would probably be easier to raise the height of your bucket seat!!
