Does anyone know what the difference is between a 325i and a 320. Is it only the size of the engine. Or have they for example different brakes, suspensions and handling.

I want to know because I'm thinking of buying a 525i engine and turbo-convert it and then put it in a 320, because that will be cheaper for me. Or is it better to buy a 325i at the beginning.

One fundamental difference is drum brakes on the rear for the 320i.

Any E30 with ABS will have discs. All 325s have discs. All tourings have discs.
Buy a touring for the conversion. Better suspension, etc.,all round.
