Well lads as some of you may know ive had a tech 1 now for around 8 months i bought it in a small town called chedder! i got her for a price ppl wouldnt immagine i have enjoyed every second of owning her and building her up to be a very good car indeed! i will add a list of the things ive done in a minute, but basicly as you know ive had a few problems with this And that ive spent a fair bit of time doing everything on the car and me mum has seen all the work ive done and always been interested.
Then the other day we were all having a good old chat as familys do lol it had also come home to me that the h35 is due back from the paintshop in 4 weeks , now me mums always said to me that theres something about the tech 1 she really likes , she even dont mind if ive thrown it sideways when shes been in there sais its cool lol but then she is a bit of a speed demon , shes had series 2 Rs turbos etc lol now currently drives a 1.2 corsa sxi though lol.
anyway to cut along story short i was thinking of selling the sport reason being h35s due home and i didnt want to put the sport away all summer and get her out just for winter, me mum said out of the blue ok if your gonna sell it i want it" well that was it ok mum your on i said so im now in the middle of just a few finishing touches me mums having it booked straight into the bodyshop and having the rear arches both done needs 1 but best to get both , also having the whole kit sprayed and a full mop! ive had some serious fun with the car myself and im really pleased my mums going to have it with wat ive done and the time my dad and i will spend on the car it will be here for along time to come!!! now me being me thought id share that with you i think its a real good thing.....cant wait to see me mum out in it to be honest, now for wat ive done.

right well it all started around 2 months ago when i started hearing knocking coming from the rear subframe bushes i hate any noise knock or scuffing , it annoys hell out of me so i decided to go all out and get everything all original best i could get etc!

so i got 2 x new rear subframe bushes
2 x new rear drop links
2 x new front drop links
2x new rear wheel bearings
2 x new front hubs , wheel bearings
new discs and pads at rear recently new fronts too
new diff oil etc
2x new front top suspension mounts
2x e46 m3 rear top suspension mounts
2 x new front lower arms
2 x new powerflex accentric lower arm rear bushes
brand new steering rack from bmw not recon
2 x new track control arms
2 x new track rod ends
new uj on steering
full H&R 60 - 40 Cup suspension kit all round.
next job is H&R adjustable anti roll bars & bushes!
also had new tyres all round fronts being yoko c drives.
theres probably alot more that i havnt mentioned there but thats the most of it underneath!
then the headgasket decided it wanted to go round number 6 so i totally stripped everything cleaned , sanded , painted , etc had the head fully rebuilt lots of new parts replaced , new gaskets , seals , head bolts , water pump , thermostat , plugs , oil filter , painted rocker cover black and inlet also chromed the lines new nuts washers everywhere and everything cleaned and done properly.
i have just a few things left to do and then shes ready to go again!!
Will add some extra pics once shes all finished totally engine wise!! will be tomorow.
also now has HARTGE front And Rear Strut braces! Hartge Gearnob.
wat do we all think then is me mum cool!"??

Gggggiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrlllllllll Power!!!!!!!!!

Does this mean we're getting another member to the Zone?

Very cool story Ian, got the same kind of situation with my Mum - after spending a few £Â£Ã‚£ on Sarah's Baur she turned to us and said, if we want to sell to give her first refusal.

Cool, Neil.

Your mum has good taste. Plus the car is still in the family, so if u eva want to "borrow" it u can :)
PS: i got my car from my mom, she told me she was going to get a honda prelude first, but saw the bmw in a showroom and fell in love with it, and ordered one.

nice!!

me mum borrowed my sport for a while but didn't like it, she said it was too quick and hard to handle!(she drives an E39 528!!!), she did like the parking though.... bless!!

just make sure you always drop it off for mum with no fuel, and pick it up just after she has filled it!!
