whats peoples opinions for the optimum wheel and tyre size to achieve the best times on the 1/4 mile drag strip? would it make such a big difference if i used my 17's?

I dont know much about this to be honest so someone put me straight if im wrong but bigger wheels give you less acceleration and better top speed but smaller wheels better acceleration and worse top end. Id go with the 15's......but i dunno if it would matter with all that power you have!lol.

Go with the smallest, lightest wheels you can
Just make sure the rubbers good enough to put the power down

Ideally with drag racing you need as little "wheel mass" as possible as the more you have the harder it is to accelerate.
You also need sidewalls that are quite tall to allow the tyre to absorb the power being transferred (on your car something say 225/70/15)
this is why all the dedicated dragsters have relatively small rims and HUUUGE rear (or front
) tyres.
so small wheels, big sidewalls.
