Just about to start preparing my 325is for a respray and wondering how hard it is to remove sunroof. I will have front and rear screens out if thats any help.

open sunroof about half way, prise open the inner sunroof trim from the leading edge of the sun roof with a screwdriver or similar, do it carefully as they are prone to breaking, try to use the tool as close to the plastic tab as possible.
once tabs opened close roof and slide the trim back into sunroof cavity. then you will see the holding nuts on each side, 3 on each side.
remove and sunroof will come out.
it is suggested not to reuse these nuts when refixing as they are thread lock type. get some more or they may vibrate loose in the future.
