It's an alternative front bumper trim which lets you have no front numberplate without it looking like one is meant to be there.

Where the 2 screw holes are would be something like "BMW" or even better, just blank. Pretty sure you can't get them for facelift though :(

It's a plate that covers where the license plate goes on the US diving board bumpers. Here's some pics.

been working here in the middle east since 97 when i finished uni, but before that lived here with my parents since 1979!!

and had a few mates who went to uni (northeast missouri State) in Kirksville MO, great place full of real red necks and students, had a blast there, went two times during their freshman week in about 1992-3 and 95

loved the drinking laws so i flaunted them, loved the parties and mangaged to spend most of my time there being an honourary Tri-Sig, which was pointed out to me was a sirorty (spell??) and that men join fraternity, however the idea of spending my days in a house with a load of lads was not as appealing as spending my days in the company of a load of birds so i became a tri-sig winkeye

and now for my sins i work in bahrain!

actually got a mate here from south carolina, his name believe it or not is john wayne Tester jnr! good lad too (except fot the whoopin and the hoolerin!!!)

I was very dissappointed when I took my number plate tril off....only to find the trim is missing behind it. I liv ein Florida, USA. And we do not have front plates.

And I think it is tacky to have a BMW plate like this.....

I just think it screams "I think you didn't notice I drive a BMW, so here is another unmistakable emblem".

this delete part is GOD in my book.
