JUST BOUGHT A SET OF 15" BBS,PAID WHAT I THINK WAS GOOD MONEY "£235 PLUS COURIER,WAS TOLD GOOD CONDITION,JUST NEEDED A CLEAN,ARRIVED COVERED IN BRAKE DUST,REALLY BAD,WONT AND CANT CLEAN UP TO FAR GONE.SLIGHT KERBING,TWO ILLEGAL TYRES,WAS TOLD 1 NEEDED REPLACING.CENTRE CAPS NOT GOOD EITHER!!!HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SELLER(NO NAMES AT THIS STAGE),I OFFERED TO COURIER THEM BACK TO HIM,FOR FULL REFUND THIS WOULD STILL STAND ME ABOUT £60 OUT OF POCKET,SAYS HE HAS SPENT THE MONEY!!!!AND CANT AFFORD TO REFUND ME,NOW HE DOESNT APPEAR TO BE ANSWERING HIS PHONE!THEY WERE PICKED UP 300+ MILES FROM ME,SO GOING UP THERE IS ALSO A PROB.
ANY IDEAS WHAT WOULD YOU DO?ANY ADVICE GREATFULLLY RECEIVED

Tough break mate - unfortunately ebay never seem to want to know about these sort of situations. How did you pay?

The only thing to do with ebay is to open a dispute and see where it goes.

I would just try to frighten the guy into giving you money back, say you will take it to small claims court etc.

I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT HE IS A MEMBER OF THE ZONE,NOT WILLING TO SAY WHO OR LOCATION AT THE MO,GIVE THE PERSON TIME TO RESPOND.NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM FAR FROM HAPPY,THEY WERE FOR THE MRS CAR,IM OUT OF POCKET AND GETTING EAR ACHE.IT REALLY ISNT IN THE SPIRIT OF THE ZONE.AND IF CONTACT ATTEMPTS ARE FRUITLESS I WILL OF COURSE LET YOU ALL KNOW THE MEMBERS DETAILS AS A WORD OF WARNING.

Thats shit ! ! if goods are not as described then full refund should the way to go.

But I would give seller time to reply and maybe sort the situation before it goes to far(benefit of doubt and all that)

And with reference to above posts I never seen EBAY mentioned just (no names mentioned)

If you spend that kinda dosh and get shit stuff back then its no good and poor service...ffs £235 on standard original bmw factory rims

i FEEL I HAVE BEEN REALLY REASONABLE,EVEN IF I GET THE REFUND I WILL STILL BE £60 OUT OF POCKET,THE REFURB IDEA,WELL £45 PER CORNER THEN I THINK THE CENTRE CAPS WILL NEED SPRAYING IF THATS POSSIBLE?OR REPLACING?THATS A LOT OF CASH FOR A SET BBS IN THE END,LOOKING AT APPROACHING ABOUT £450,COULD HAVE GOT ALPINAS.

OK, so we have a goods for sale condition dispute again.

1st ly, the forum as a whole abhors this kind of practice, however it can and does happen on occasion, please feel free to drop me a Private Message, I'd certainly like to hear more on this incident, so we can hope to prevent it happening more often.

2nd ly, TURN THE CAPS OFF please dude !!

Forum equitette(sp ?) is normal writing unless you are "shouting" so, unless you are deaf, hit the button dude!

I'm going to close this thread for a while pending a response from either party involved, better still, BOTH !
