My insurance on the booty wagon runs out next month, so i though i'd ring up Adrain Flux and get a new quote. Bearing in mind i'm already insured with them, but as a 3.20 cab with just a kit, blah, blah, blah. I nearly dropped of my chair when matey came back with a quote of Ԛ£1,300 up from Ԛ£500 fully comp before. I'm bloody 34 with 8 years no claims etc. I have no choice though. As i want to make sure it's an agreed value cover, i have to get BMW GB Club to value the car and agree that it's worth Ԛ£25k. Something i had to do with the flip one.

Anyone wants to hire my services for the missus can now contact me as i'm open for business. I'll even give a special Zone discount. It seems that's the only way i'd be able to insure 3 bloody cars now (Which i dont even drive)

Ben, if you can get a valuation, phone Lancaster Enthusiast i THINK the number is 01640 484848 (im pretty sure the area code is 01640. I KNOW the number is 484848 though)
I think that is a tad steep for you given your stats. Maybe Ԛ£900 but 1300 is a little rich.

I don't think I would get insurance in N.I. for either of your cars m8, for any money. When I was looking at a 325 to begin with, I asked about bodykits and they said they would refuse to insure me with a bodykit fitted.. (27, 10years no claims) Bloody daft over here..

Oh and regarding the missus...

Have you tried HIC for a quote mate ? They do agreed valuation policy's and have no probs with modded cars.

I understood what you meant mate. Alas, 2 problems with that from my point of view
1)I dont have a missus that needs servicing (im actually servicing someone else missus meself!)   and
2)My pensils at full working order - getting the thing UP isnt a problem... its keeping the fukking thing down that I cant do! Hense my newer sig.

Ben, if you have your blue pimp mobile insured fully comp, and you have the Candy-pimp insured (with the in-ability to drive other cars) why dont you have the blue-pimp fully comp (WITH ability to drive other cars 3rd party) and the candy-pimp can be insured on its own, therefore allowing you to drive all other cars.

It still sucks c0ck that they want to sting you for so much mind!!!!

 I was thinking the same thing lastnight mate. I have the blue convertible and the Polo both on fully comp insurance, so i dont know what i'm worried about  . It looks like i will have to go with HCI or Adrian Flux cause they are the only 2 Companies willing to do agreed value. I rang up at least 20 Companies yesterday and theyt were all willing to take my money ubtil i mentioned that i wanted the value of my car agreed, then they run a mile. They all said they can only give me the boot value of the car, whick for mine will be around Ԛ£4k to Ԛ£5k and that's being optimistic.

Mind it does stand to reason that if i'm paying Ԛ£500 a year at the moment and i've got the car insured for Ԛ£10k (Not agreed value), it should double if i've uprated everything including the engine and want it agreed value of Ԛ£25k. I'll just have to write to BMW GB Club now and get confirmation from her that she is worth that much
