So there you are, looking at a what looks like a box-standard late e30 in reasonable condition/mileage for its year and then you're looking under the bonnet only to realise its a pukka Alpina converted 2.7 engine. Been there from new and with the paper work and everything.
How much does that add onto the price?
£1000, £2000, or what?
Any opinions?
How much of a premium for an Alpina should you pay.

Andrew - I've kinda set the scene with my first post. Theorectically, good condition for the year (one or two small signs of rust) etc, average miles (say between 120 and 150K). Lets say u would pay around 800 quid for it - everything standard BMW including the alloys.
Now imagin the same car except it has had an genuine 2.7 conv done and nowt else. No Alpina manifold, no suspension, nothing else Alpina. Get me?
How much extra would you pay for it?
My feeling is that the Synter Alpina premium has come down in price recently. Any views?

if it hasnt got the ful kit then of course it would be less. does the owner know what alpina is? i think circa 2.5 -3K would be right, however i would ceratinly want more for my C2 as it has all the bits.

NEVER assume when looking at an Alpina car (or any other tuner car for that matter) that all the' special' parts it started life with are still present and correct, they seldom are !
