im smoking my lights using the guide on here and was wondering if there is a better way to do the main beam lights because the cross thingy doesn't look very effective in the pictures.so has anyone painted the whole of the reflector black? does it look better and mostly is it legal?
any help or advice greatly appreciated, thanks

the reflecter is functional where as the dipped units are projectors so the chrome ring is for show really.

i have toyed with the idea of fitting a fine black mesh to the inside of the main beam lens, the kind you would use for a fly screen etc. i dont think that it would blck a great deal of the light, but it would certainly make the lens appear black. this actually was my idea for smoking the fog lights but i cannot get the things open. i have not yet tried it on my main beam.
if anyone tried it maybe you can save me the bother!!
