Hi, ive just registered with e30zone and am looking to buy a very good 325 sport 89/90 or so and have been looking around for a while. have about £3000 to spend. Im looking at this car here( grey soft top sport)
( http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... ull=SEARCH )
and was wondering what you think of it, seems cheap and im wondering would it be a complete dog. Would be great to hear any helpful pointers from you.
Cheers ,

Firstly welcome to the ZONE!!
This car that your looking at has been around for quite some time as i recall, i have definately seen it for sale at the beginning of the year. So on that point perhaps all is not what it seems.
From the pics alone it doesnt look too bad. Fake Alpina reps are a no no from my point of view. A decent set of standard 15" BBS wheels are much nicer, and will probably ride better too.
The questions i would be asking are:-
1) Does it have an electric or manual hood, and in what condition
2) What service history does it come with.
For a start it doesnt have an adjustable steering column/wheel. So perhaps the guy selling it just assumed this or he's BS'ing. Id go and have a look at the car and make him an offer of £2300 if its ok. Go in hard you never know he ight take your hand off.
Best of luck in your hunt for any E30.

Cab facelift was around the same time as the E36 came out IIRC, late '90/early '91 I think.

The letter on the registration means absolutely f'all. Its the date of manufacturer that determines when they changed phases etc. E.g. You can have a vehicle made in 1986 which wasnt registered until 1990, so that would be a pre facelift G plate vehicle.
