Had my CRX vtec at 147 on the clock which felt like 400mph as you sit litterally about 2 inches off the ground.
Had the Astra off the clock by about 1cm so who knows what it was doing.

Yeah I loved the CRX. Everytime I drove it I was smiling. The gokart handling combined with the kick of the early vtec engines was fantastic.

Exactly....still gutted about selling my first one.

Last of the line K plater, with 46k, absolutely mint, in white.

Suspension Kit, 17's, Air filter, exhaust, that's all it had, and all it needed, and I had some fun/dodgy/brilliant times in that one.

Had a silver one more recently, but had to sell it, cos it could never live up to the old white one.

Still miss that car.

I also miss my old mint black 325i sport.

What a nob I am, always sell lovely cars then miss then SO bad.

I had my Dads Bentley Turbo Red Label at 160mph one night... F**king fast car! Came out of it shaking, with fear or excitement, I don't know...

145mph in my old 325i Touring, down hill, tail wind... lol

I was on the back of a ZX9R at an indicated 170mph... I was very very very scared... never again.

A mate of mine had a offroad buggy, all open, knackered, poxy roll bars and crap tyres running a Mini 1275 GT engine, sat perched on the side of that at 80 down a gravel track, felt more like 200!
Wasa sooooooooooo much fun!
Oh,and it had no exhaust, sounded awsome and looked it too with flames coming out what "exhaust" there was!

Other than that 125 in my MK2 GTE and 125 in the Tourer, hmmm,Scott was there to gunning down my tail at,well TBH i'm not sure 135 ish(?)

Been 160+ on the back of a bike, Giles I'm with you on this one, never again.

6400rpm in 5th on a 3.7 diff which equates to 145mph when calculated

it was showing bout 155mph on the clocks which shows how inaccurate the clocks are lol

been a genuine 150 in my dads alpina though- did it with ease.....

As a passenger I've been 155 in an E39 M5. Felt fast but stable....!

Similar to Simon13, went just over 135 in my old sport. Was revving quite high, so I didn't stay at that speed for long! 8O

I managed 157mph in my Sport - properly measured on GPS gear as well.

I would probably hit 160 with a bit more track, but I had to slow down a bit sharpish for the corner :drive:

Meh my MKII (non vtec) CRX would only do 137 (indicated)
All MkII CRX vtec or not are superb cars

Fastest I've driven is 145mph (indicated) in the 325i for quite some distance on a long straight empty european motorway when 'making time'
Poor thing wouldnt go any quicker
That was coming out as 132-3mph on my mates GPS
Cheers,
Robin

I believe it was a tad damp on that particular occasion 8O

Never really had the opportunity to test the top end on the 2.7. I think the most I did was 125-130 ish.
