would it not be cheaper to by a SLIGHTLY rusty e30 and repair that? will cost a few hundred in electricity to weld that back to MOT standards!

Dude, you got a fetish for welding ???
Your original car looks easier to fix than this bag of rust. I've rebuilt a few cars in my time, as long as you don't mind spending more money on it than it's worth then go for it!

lol my original one looked like a bananna someone drove into it last year and drove off i'd just rid the shell of rust as well w*****s im a believer in working with what i've got and as the shells there waiting i though i'd have a go at giving it a bit of a shed to showpiece makeover lol i've got my work cut out for me lol

That is terminal! There's rust everywhere. It'll be in all the box sections and you'll never kill it all.
There are far better shells than that being scrapped every day.

I agree.
I've broken better E30s than that.

Have you tried Alan Cowlands (now called Almik I think) in Burton Latimer? They usually have loads of E30's in for breaking.
They must have a decent shell somewhere.

I go there fairly often. I've always had good service, you must have caught them on a bad day.

Good luck!
They do get very busy at times which affects their customer service skills.
No excuse, but they've always done a good job for me.

Did you manage to get a decent shell ? I saw the snaps of the one with all the rot ? I've got a 320 2 door I'll be breaking soon, not any way as bad as yours, has got 5 months mot ( though did have until I lost the certificate ) any use ? It's just a basic 320 manual in white, can e-mail snaps if you wish.
