Any 318is owners out there know the best places to buy parts for a 318is??

No problems with mine (touch wood!!!) but i'm just curious incase i need to replace anything in the future.

I know about german and swedish and eurocarparts, but i'm wondering if there is anywhere else in the uk i should know about.

Cheers

I'll second eko on that - ecp and gsf are ok for a few generic parts, but the main dealers still worth checking first for most parts - the prices are usually comparable and you know you're getting the right item! :D

i get EVERYTHING for my iS from the dealers (mainly because i work for a dealership!!!) but i would definately say its the best place to get stuff from

also, not many people know this, but if you buy a part from a BMW dealers, you get a two year fitted part warranty

so if you buy a wheel bearing, and fit it yourself, and 18 months later, it starts making a noise again, you just take your car to the dealers you bought the part from, with your proof of purchase, and they change it for you under warranty!!!

Andrew, all you have to do is tkae your car to the dealership, along with your reciept for the battery. Speak to a service adviser at the service reception at the dealership. Explain to them that you bought the battery [x months ago] and the battery has failed. Enquire with them about the fitted part warranty of the battery. The service adviser will book your car in to get looked at. if the battery is at fault, they should replace the battery for free (under the BMW fitted part warranty)

just make sure that you take the reciept and its not 2 years old!

hope that helps. if you get any probs, then give me a shout...
