Any of you gents and ladies have opioins on good inexpensive alarm systems.
I say inexpensive as a pal of mine is following my lead and joining the legion of E30, and I ask incase his car comes without such a feature - we shall only be spending 500-700 on the car for a start hence my 'inexpensive' comment.
How are they when it comes to fitting them oneself?

Fitting a "good" immobiliser should not really be any hassle, as long as they come with good instructions and a good wiring diagram.
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

Toad all the way for me. Never had problems with them.
If your mate can't go for full alarm get a Cat1 Toad immobiliser. Will take a few £Â£Ã‚£s off his insurance.
