did all 325i have the sports option on the automatic gearbox?
what is the main driving difference and does it cost much more to run in sport mode, or is it genrally used just for overtaking etc??

EH auto box was a £1400 option on 320i/325i.

Just an extra to give the driver some more control over gear changes.

Using sport mode means using gears 1,2 & 3 only it won't change up to 4 or lock up. It also changes up through the gears at higher revs and gives more control. Both these factors reduce mpg quite a lot. Sport mode only required for faster getteraways and spirited driving.
