Finally got up to blackpool today armed with a nice wedge of notes to collect my alpina

rained the whole bloody way up there! We got up there in time

Massive thanks to zoners Demlotcrew for coming up with me and Dave(no)touring for lending his diesel Chavalier for 50mpg cruising!

Had a good chat with Andy (Mr WLN) for a few hours, what a nice guy he really is. Cup of tea and off home again!
Filled her up with some optimax and off we went. Got going and turned the heater on as it's cold up north u see. Water temp was up but no heat :? It worked on the test drive, stopped and looked and the fuse had blown! So 5 hour drive home freezing my tits off.

I stopped at oxford services to pinch myself and take some snaps. Now some tit has fitted aftermarket windows of which the drivers side window was down 6 inches. Got in the car to go again, won't go up! passenger side working fine. Switch maybe? swopped them to no avail.
So i've prepared myself to be even colder on the way home than i already was and as i'm heading back to the motorway i get pulled by the police! "Is it a real alpina mate?" copper says. "yup!"
"are u insured?" "yes" i say. So they check all that and alls fine and then spend the next 10 mines checking it out and chatting!

What a monster it is too! As it's not run in quite yet from the re build i had to take it easy! coming out of the M6 toll booth in 1st put my foot half down she was wagging her tail so easily. 2nd gear on the roundabouts no prob. Even 3rd gear. I never even went flat out and the back was going. I know it was very wet but my 325i would never of done all that! I noticed it's alot more economical than a stock 325i. OBC said 11.4 litres for every 100km's. Need to switch it over to MPG to see but i get the feeling it will be good!

So i'm sooooooooooooo chuffed with it at the mo!
See who ever is at guildford meet 2moro with my new toy :D i'm still grinning now :D

I might have to take it to the ring at the end of this month, as i now cna't get insured on my old sport as a named driver now my bro in law has it! Cos i'm under 25 even though i drove it for 2 years and put all the mods on it.

So were in a bit of a pickle :?

Just woke up after a much needed  I got Simon up at 7:20am and Nick was not impressed

I wanted to go on the big rollercoaster but Simon had other ideas (some car hes collecting  ) Missed the roller as its on day light saving mode or something so the opening hours are different! Simon was happy cause hes a :gay: and hates heights :giggle:

So whatÔš's this car all about SI?

Nice one!

Reminds me of when I went to get my C2 2.7. Down the M1, very cold no heaters but it was very quick!

Enjoy!

Youve given my C2 2.7 craving again - on the hunt!

He cant have electric windows then as the car didnt have them from factory.

Cant be having keep fit windows!

Stick your manifold on with a good exhaust and remap it to unleash even more power.

Hap - just sell me your car! I promise not to modify it!

i've just done the first de-councilfication and binned those nasty after market electric windows and fitted keep fit windy arms from the scrappy for Ԛ£2. Ouch

The ICV was the wrong way round, so i've done that. Would it make a difference anyway?

Fitted a radio

There's still so much councilness to come off it though!

I've done a dealer check of the spec and she was poverty from new before the conversion!

OBC 12 button
cloth sport seats
LSD
leccy sunroof
opening rear quarters

not that bad i suppose!

Would be interesting to know that.

See if you can get the origional downpipes aswell or a picture of them atleast. It will work even better then.

What did you notice on the Auto when you fitted it??
