Hi, I am new to the BMW world, and have had my BMW just under a year. I had to get engine changed but now looking for a decent place near Northampton to make the engine look good and to get the tuning and other bits that need doing on it done.

Can anyone recommend a good place to do this please? It must be near Northampton (close at least).

Thank you.

To make the engine look good in what way. You casn hae powder coated bits, bling bits etc. You need to decide which route you want to go 1st, then it would be easier to recomend places to you. Welcome to the Zone by the way

When you say decide the direction I want to go - can you please be more specific as to what do you mean?

I want to do the car up from stem to stern - the whole lot...

I just need to know where to start...especially as I am new to this...

Help would really be gratefully accepted.

If the car needs cosmetics on the outside, then i'd start there as that's the part most visible to people, then work my way to the engine. Sal who runs the zone shop can get you most things for the E30 and at a very good price too. The for sale section here is also an excellent place to find bits. If you like email me on B.Lartey@Agipkco.com and i will send you some pics of modded E30's and you can decide what you like and dont like

Being a newbie to any type of modification, I thought doing the engine then the body would of been better? But I think I see the logic in doing the body first...

And thank you for the email...I will email you now.

if your doing a complete restoration and modification best to leave the body till last, after all the mechanicals and engine work to avoid scratches and dents to your new paint job.

...hmmm gets more confusing each time LOL...but that was my original thought - sort the mechanics, and other things, then do the body and facelift or modifications.

I am new to the this modification area, and want to do it right first time, and so any good advice is wanted please.

Thank you.

Where do I go? Who I do I speak to? These are the questions that really need answering.

Its not just the mods but getting the things sorted on her...

As long as I can get some good advice - then I am great - but need to sort some electrics and mechanical stuff on her.
